Before he was CEO at Calaxy...before he was a rising star on Wall Street...Solo Ceesay was a student-athlete* at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

In December 2022, Solo had the opportunity to get back to his roots and speak to students who in many ways reflected his own path to success.

The Whitney M. Young Jr. Memorial Conference — hosted by the school's African American MBA program — invited Solo to participate in a discussion as part of the conferences emerging markets panel. Joined by friend of the pod and One of None CEO DeShone Kizer, Solo spoke of his experiences as a young, Black executive and dispelled advice on how students might parlay their talents and expertise into a leadership role like the one he carved out for himself.

*Since you asked, he played defensive line. Wanna see him dead lift 655 pounds?
