Calaxy Version 1.5 is officially here! This release comes packed with a bunch of updates that will make signing in and authorizing transactions way smoother. This update also brings the ability to text phone numbers of friends not yet in the app! Continue reading for the full breakdown of v1.5 release.
You know what’s cool? Being able to text crypto & NFTs to friends on Calaxy. You know what’s even cooler? Being able to text crypto & NFTs to friends who are not on Calaxy.
Here’s how it works:
PIN codes are a nice security feature, but typing in your PIN every time you want to complete a transaction on the app is a little annoying. Version 1.5 introduces FaceID and TouchID as a replacement for your primary authentication method. Once set up, Calaxy will simply scan your face or fingerprint to complete a transaction, vs. requiring a PIN code entry. PIN Code entry will become the backup authentication method if FaceID has any issues.
Also, FaceID (or PIN entry as backup) will now only be required the first time you want to complete a transaction on Calaxy, and no longer every time you open the app. This will get you in the app a lot faster and only require security checkpoints to happen when they are needed (when you are doing a transaction).
We all love dancing Myro as the official Calaxy app splash screen, but if you are an avid Calaxy user, seeing Myro dance every single time you open the app can be bit much. So we are now only going to show dancing Myro when there are app updates. Any other time you open the app, you will be brought right to the Home Screen. This shaves off a few seconds of wait time when you open Calaxy.
That’s all for now! For the complete list of v1.5 updates, check out our official Updates page.
