For too long, crypto has been too hard, leaving most of us frustrated (and intimidated) with a technology that truly wields the power to transform our lives socially and economically, forever.

Today, that changes. Today, crypto has an easy mode. And it starts with peer to peer value transfer in the form of crypto and NFTs on Hedera. You can now text Hedera-based crypto and NFT Collectibles to other Calaxy users in Calaxy Messenger.

How does it work?

Up until today, anytime you wanted to send people crypto or NFTs, you had to get their public wallet address, go buy native network tokens to pay transaction fees, and on some networks, pre-associate the token or NFT you're sending with the recipient's wallet so the transaction would succeed.. blah!! 🤮

This is all pretty annoying and doesn't make crypto very fun. But now... you can just text them.

Simply head to your DM convo with the person you want to send crypto/NFTs to, tap the ⚡ action menu, select the NFT or input the crypto amount.. and hit send 🚀. In seconds (thanks, Hedera 😉) the assets will be settled in the recipient's wallet!

Which networks are supported?

As of Calaxy v1.4, all Hedera network assets including $HBAR, $USDC, and Hedera NFTs are supported. We’ve got plans to gradually roll out support for 20+ additional networks including Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH), Flow ($FLOW), Polygon ($MATIC), Solana ($SOL) and more in the coming months. No network fees!?* 🤯

We're big believers in making crypto fun. And  — lets face it — having to go buy native network tokens just to pay gas fees for a simple transaction…isn't fun. So, for networks that have ultra low transfer fees (gas) that we consider to be "marginal," Calaxy will automatically cover the network fees for as long as the economics make sense to do so. (Examples of networks with ultra low transfer fees include Hedera, Polygon, and Flow blockchains.)
