Calaxy v1.6 introduces some significant improvements to the Calaxy Wallet, including the introduction of one-click wallet setup powered by Magic Link!

Works Like Magic

Imagine setting up your crypto wallet with just the single click of a button—no fuss, and no pesky key phrases to remember. This is crypto on easy mode. And it works like magic 🎩. But.. we understand that one size doesn't fit all. That’s why, alongside Magic Link, we’re keeping the degens in mind with the option to set up your wallet using the standard 12-word key phrase. Flexibility is key in Calaxy v1.6, allowing users to tailor their security to suit their comfort level. Advanced users, your needs are met—complexity when you want it, simplicity when you don't.

Here’s how it works: 

1. If you have just signed up for Calaxy, hop over to the Wallet tab, and click "Setup Wallet" button
2. You can choose to setup your wallet using "easy" or "advanced" mode
3. "Easy" mode let's you set up your Calaxy wallet in a single tap.
4. "Advanced" mode sets up your wallet using the industry standard 12-24 word keyphrase method.
5. Once you are done setting up your wallet using either of these modes, you will then just need to secure it with FaceID/fingerprint and a PIN code

Face ID Integration: Security Meets Convenience

For those upgrading from our last release, Calaxy v1.6 allows you to integrate Face ID right from the settings menu. Set up once, and you’re good to go—secure, swift, and in complete control. When you setup FaceID, your PIN code will now be used as a backup, for rare cases that FaceID doesn't work.

Introducing the Wallet Address Book

Ever wished you could nickname those cryptic wallet addresses? Wish granted! Calaxy 1.6 introduces a Wallet Address Book feature that lets you tag and save external wallet addresses with nicknames for easy access. Whether it's sending crypto or trading NFTs, your contacts are now as easy to navigate as your favorite social media app. Quick, convenient, and a total game-changer for frequent traders!

Wallet Menu Upgrades: Quick Access, Quicker Transactions

Tired of toggling through menus to find what you need? V1.6 introduces wallet menu improvements that offer a quick actions menu for both your crypto and NFTs. In v1.5 and previous, tapping on an asset would simply show you the balance. As of v1.6, the panel is expanded to show quick actions you can take, that are specific to that crypto. You can also quickly pull up all transactions related to the selected asset. For NFTs, the same applies, but the actions will be specific to the NFT you select.

Performance Improvements

Our product team is super hard at work to make sure we are always optimizing the app for speed and smoothness. V1.6 comes packed with some pretty speedy performance improvements. Your crypto & NFTs now load up to 10x faster than v1.5.
